Lacey Creek Rd Repairs
Description
This project was a small but challenging road repair rectifying damage caused by rain and flooding in Brisbane in early 2011.
There were two components in the project—a pavement repair of approximately 80m and land slip on Lacey Creek Road at Dayboro, north of Brisbane, QLD.
Works
- Detailed excavation
- Subgrade formation and compaction
- Supply and installation of pavement
- Drainage works including 600mm reinforced concrete pipes
Challenges
- Slope stabilisation
- Detailed excavation and soil treatment in an unstable working area
- Traffic Management
Our Management
Working at two sites in a short time frame required precise co-ordination of plant and materials between both sites.
The whole project was completed in less than two weeks, with the Moreton Bay Regional Council very satisfied with the project outcome.
Value Adding
CivilTeam worked closely with council staff to provide a tailored drainage solution for each site. One site required the use of oversize rock at the base of the pavement formation to allow drainage to a water course. The other site required a precast manhole and grate configuration in the table drain. Both solutions were provided on time and within budget.
