Hart’s Range Aerodrome Upgrade

Hart’s Range is 145 km’s north east of Alice Springs. This airfield was originally part of the scope of works to be undertaken in Project 40. However, the client judged that the layout of the aerodrome was unsuitable, and following considerable damage during the 2011/2012 wet season decided that eventually the aerodrome would need to be relocated to a more suitable site.

Wujal Wujal Infrastructure Upgrade

This project was funded under the QLD ‘s State Indigenous Infrastructure Program, aimed at improving environmental health infrastructure in indigenous communities.

Suicide Bend Slope Stabilisation Works

CivilTeam carried out slope stabilisation works on the Captain Cook Highway north of Cairns after a severe rain event exposed and destabilised the embankment above the section known locally as Suicide Bend.

Aurukun Infrastructure Works

This infrastructure upgrade to the remote Aurukun indigenous community, included major upgrades to existing water supply and sewerage services, a new tip landfill facility, and construction of 17 new serviced lots.

Rockhampton Pedestrian Exclusion Works

The purpose of this project was to create a pedestrian exclusion area along a busy area of the Bruce Highway, Rockhampton, QLD.

Tennant Creek Aerodrome Upgrades

This contract included a major rebuild at Bonya airfield, which had deteriorated so badly it had been closed for 18 months. In determining the scope of works, sensitive negotiations were required with local authorities and the Central Lands Council (based in Alice Springs), as an area of significant cultural heritage would be impacted.
