Our Management
In partnership with the designers, CivilTeam worked in conjunction to produce a design that met the requirements of the client. This proved a lengthy process due to the limited information on hand and a clay subgrade of which the client requested to be left insitu. With the overall length of the runway lifted to achieve conforming shape, suitable material had to be imported 400km in quantities needed to achieve design, delivered to site in a timely manner, and meet programme. With soaring temperatures and water at a premium, the pavement was cement stabilised and a three coat seal placed prior to linemarking. All work was undertaken to a strict quality control with numerous hold points to ensure client satisfaction.
Value Add
CivilTeam instantly garnered support of the local community by hiring locally and keeping most of the project expenditure within the community. This was regarded highly by the client and proved pivotal in ensuring the project was completed ahead of programme.
