Moree Waste Management Facility
Description
This project delivered a new waste treatment facility for Moree Council. CivilTeam identified issues in the design and potential construction problems prior to arriving on site. This avoided numerous delays, variations and alterations on the project, which would have been very costly to the client.

Challenges
- Remote location - limited scope for materials and equipment supply

- Drainage issues, resulted in significant ponding of water around road network
- Failure of follow-on trades to adequately protect installed works
Our Management
By identifying issues early on, CivilTeam avoided numerous delays and reduced the scope for variations on the project.
The site team managed the remote location challenge by sourcing suppliers and verifying their conformance and ability to complete the works prior to arrival on site.
Value Adding
By utilising precast pipework to install a retro fitted sump pit 12m deep, the price of the variation was reduced, as was the EOT required to complete the process. The works were completed eight weeks ahead of schedule, including all variations.
Excellent client relationships led to further invitations to price future jobs, which resulted in repeat work for CivilTeam on the Moree Water Supply Desalination Project - Project 26.
